Richard Graham

MP for Gloucester

Richard Graham has always had a Gloucestershire base and lives there with his wife Anthea and three children, as do his parents, a sister and a brother. Richard has worked in aviation, diplomacy and finance, living in eight different countries and always representing British organisations.

He was founder Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and Vice Chairman of the Board of Airline Representatives in the Philippines. He has been on the boards of a charity (Care for Children), a quango (China Britain Business Council) and an Investment company. Richard has been captain at the Christ Church, Oxford; Shanghai and Cirencester Cricket Clubs and played squash for Oxford University and the Philippines. He loves walking, and believes the secret of urban regeneration is combining the best of the old and new imaginatively and always remembering that people count more than anything!

Richard Graham's Experience

Richard has been a Councillor and Chairman of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee in the Cotswold District Council, a European Parliamentary Candidate for the South West of England an advisor to the Shadow Secretary of State for Pensions and was elected Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Gloucester on the 1st December 2006. "It's a huge honour to work for the people of Gloucester for a good time before the general election - so that they can judge if they want me to carry on doing so after the election."
