Jim Porter for Longlevens

He has always felt it important to maintain the democratic process and became involved in local politics in 1972 when he joined the Conservative Party. Local education has also been one of his great passions and he has served as a school governor for many years. On the City Council he sits on the Licensing and Enforcement and Overview and Scrutiny Committees, is a Director of Gloucestershire Airport and a trustee of Aspire Leisure.
