Joe McAleer for Elmbridge

Joe has lived in Gloucester all his life, growing up in Elmbridge and Armscroft. Last year, aged 22, he passed his medical finals and is concluding a postgraduate research degree in medical education, starting his job in the NHS next year. Joe is a local Librarian and Scout Leader and is standing for election to give something back to the community that where he grew up and loves. 

Joe said, “I want to be a young, fresh, visible and approachable Councillor for the ward - someone who honestly and promptly delivers decisive action on local issues. I want to be a councillor the ward can be proud of and don’t feel that the residents of Elmbridge get full value of having two Councillors in the Ward if they both live in the same house!"
